| What would your future have been like if no-one gave you a second chance? Sometimes, young people aren't always able to get the extra support they need at school. We believe that regardless of circumstances, each young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. | |  |

| Bethel Training Centre (BTC) opened in 1997 to help meet the desperate need for education for some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children in Ootacamund, South India. Now, over 180 students a year pass through the centre and receive a government accredited certificate. |
| We also run other tuition facilities on a smaller scale throughout the whole of India. In the tsunami-hit district of Nagaipattinum we have a tutor who travels to remote villages specifically to teach children in their communities, some of whom are unable to access school. | |

 | "I lost both my parents soon after finishing secondary school and had no support to pursue my education. It was during this time I was introduced to BTC, where I successfully went through a one year diploma course in software and hardware. Soon after finishing my course I started helping out at BTC whilst pursuing several other courses through distance education. It was at one of the Saturday meetings at BTC that I surrendered my life to Christ, and I was so moved by the work of BTC that I decided to help and support suffering persons like me. I sincerely thank and praise God for BTC and am thoroughly certain that over the years BTC has helped in training many students both spiritually and socially to be good citizens of society. “ |

| For £10 a month you could sponsor a child with difficult home, social or financial circumstances to attend tuition sessions / after school care in a safe and homely environment. Many go on to sit government exams at school. |
| Alternatively, you could sponsor a student to complete a government accredited computer diploma course and make a difference to their life where previously they wouldn’t have had the opportunity or financial provision. | |
